To forage your own water, www.findaspring.org is a great resource to find a genuine spring near you- or while traveling! Be sure to read the comments under the springs to check out the latest water report (if any), as well as any updates, ie, road washed out, access changed, if you need to bring a hose/pipe, etc. A lot of people keep springs on the downlow (Nestle, etc. are buying up a lot of private springs!), so many spring water fans do not post pics or locations of springs to social media, etc. Also, old-timers and locals often know where the springs are;) and perhaps they'll share details if you're discreet and polite:). Another fun thing to check out are natural hot springs, off-the-grid. These are often found on blogs/travel tip sites, etc. Thank you for sharing this post, AVFCA! splish-splash!
