I’m surprised that there are so many FDA, USDA, HHS recommendations in this article.
Ever since 2018 when I discovered Dr Marik’s work on vitamin C ( mega doses taken intravenously cures sepsis- google it) and it got my father off of deaths door in the ICU, I take mega doses upon feeling sick at all (like handfuls and handfuls of Costco 1000 mg vitamin C tablets) and haven’t been sick for more than 12 hours. ( including 3 cases of Covid) . Take vitamin C until it gives you diarrhea if you start feeling sick. I swear by it.
A better brand than Costco I’m sure will be better but the number at mg or g of vitamin c mentioned in this article are very inadequate.
We hear you on high-dosing, especially when sick or on the verge, and know it can be quite beneficial. In this article we didn't want to push that aspect, as some of our readers are just getting started on deciphering the pros and cons of vitamins and nutritional supplements in general. Quality is also important to us, and yes to your point about the Costco brand. We might suggest getting very curious about some of the ingredients in their vitamin C: ascorbic acid, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate, guar gum...
