Great article. Thank you! Might you consider putting the fever article here on Substack, too, so we can listen to it in addition to reading it on your site?
$100M to COUNTER??? Were these agencies ever doing what they were created to do, which was protect us?!? I haven't read this yet (I will shortly), but that title infuriates me! And I don't even have an autistic child! My heart breaks for those who do, and I pray that the truth comes out so the gaslighting can stop... As well as the vaccines.
These agencies are all hijacked - Evidence in undeniable - I cleaned out my account, but I saved the article... in short: The FDA and CDC spent over $100 million to counter the 1998 Andrew Wakefield study that linked the MMR vaccine to autism. Several independent studies, including those by Kiguchi et al. (2011), D’Souza et al. (2011), and Hornig et al. (2008), have suggested potential connections between vaccines and neurological outcomes like autism. Despite these findings, the CDC and FDA launched a massive campaign funded by taxpayer dollars to discredit Wakefield's research, protect Merck's financial interests, and reaffirm vaccination schedules. This response involved public education campaigns, media engagement, and promoting studies that showed no link to autism, culminating in the revocation of Wakefield's medical license. The FDA has approved vaccines like MMR and HPV to prevent diseases like measles, mumps, rubella, and cervical cancer. However, the MMR vaccine was initially disapproved due to Wakefield’s study. Meanwhile, major pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, and Pfizer spend over $20 million annually lobbying for vaccine policies, ensuring their influence in vaccine decisions and controversies.
